Summer List 2011

Last year, a friend of mine (whom I have never met personally) wrote in her blog~Just Another Day in Paradise that she and her girls come up with a list of summer to do’s every year. So we decided to copy her idea, because it was a great one! My girls couldn’t wait to make a list of all the things that we were going to do over the summer. Once our list was made, they had so much fun crossing things off the list that we did, and adding check marks next to the ones we did over and over again…like the pool, beach, and lake since it was like 100 degrees all summer!

So it is that time again to come up with another one. We went a bought a bright colored poster board at Target to make our list stand out a little bit in the kitchen. We made a verbal one tonight during dinner, so now we need to add it to the poster board. I remember last year, that there were only about 2 things we never got around to accomplishing.

I wonder what this summer will hold… Have a great start to the summer y’all!

Last day of school for 2010-2011!

Where have the last 180 days gone? I still can’t believe today was the last day of school. Every year it goes faster and faster. It is always a bittersweet moment for me, as I am filled with various emotions. Happy for summer to spend time with my family and friends, sad to see my students leave, and glad to be stress-free for a few months. I am so looking for my summer this year, so I can be a full-time mom!
