Lindsey’s Loose Tooth!

Lindsey has had a loose tooth now for a month (or more)! Well today during aftercare it finally fell out! She said it came out when she was eating her snack. She thought it was a popcorn kernel. She is so excited to have the tooth fairy come tonight. The tooth fairy elves had to find out what the going rate was lately. So when she wakes up tomorrow morning, the tooth fairy (hopefully) will have left her some $ under her pillow.

February~March Vacation Week

Last week we were on a winter vacation. I really never understood why we have off a week in February and then again another one at the end of April. I guess it is to keep all the ski resorts in business up here. But I find it funny that most of my students went south for the week. I’d love a week off in March instead of 2 breaks, but nobody asked my opinion.

Darryl took the week off too, which was nice. He hadn’t been off since we went to Vegas back in July, so it was a much needed vacation for him.

Here are a few highlights from our “Staycation”. The first weekend we went to Maine to visit family. It was nice catching up with family and celebrating Lilly (turned 10~she’s my cousin) and Lindsey’s Birthday’s with my side of the family.

On Monday it rained, so we laid around the house and pretty much didn’t do a whole lot. Which was a nice change of pace. We did run a few errands and ate at Pizza Hut and had the buffet for lunch, the girls favorite place to eat lunch. Yummy!

Tuesday, Lindsey had a play date with our neighbor for a  few hours in the morning. Darryl and Hayleigh changed the oil in the van and cleaned up the garage together, she was in her glory. We took the kids in the afternoon to the movie Gnomeo and Juliet. It was actually cute and Elton John singing was probably the best part. The girls chowed on popcorn, Twizzles, and Lemonade. Lindsey even got sick later that night…to much junk food.

On Wednesday, Lindsey had a follow-up doctors appointment in Boston for her finger. She has a hemangioma on her middle finger that the DR is keeping an eye on. It was all good and we don’t have to go back until August. After the visit we went to The Rain Forest CafĂ© for lunch. The girls were in awe and loved every minute of it! We even had a table right next to the fish tank. Dory kept staring at us.

On Thursday we headed down to Coco Key Water Resort in Fitchburg, MA. We were there last year, and decided to make it an annual trip during Feb. break. Some friends came too with their kids, my in-laws, and SIL and nephew Colby were there as well. The kids had a blast playing on the slides, swimming, hot tubin’, splashing, eating, and playing with family & friends. We stayed overnight which was great and spent all day Friday at the park too. The kids fell asleep on the way home, they were wiped out! They were in bed at 7:10pm and slept until 7:45 Saturday morning. I highly recommend it!

Then the weekend came and we spent time cleaning, making a BJ’s run, doing groceries, and vegging…gearing up for the week to begin and back to school/work and routines. We ate at LaCarreta which is our favorite Mexican restaurant on Saturday night. We had to have the vacation end with one of our favs and it was Delish! It was a wonderful week spending time together as a family. Hopefully Spring is around the corner! Smile

I just realized I don’t have any photos from the week.

What kind of mom am I?
